The End Times in Prophecy: Daniel 8:5-8
Iran War, Iraq War: US Goat Stomps Ram, Islam Symbol
God says there is none like Him, declaring the end from the
beginning. In Genesis 22, God shows the end of militant Islam when Isaac was saved from
sacrifice by a ram caught by its horns in a bush. Islam teaches
that Ishmael was
spared by sacrificing the ram, and they celebrate it in Al-Adha. Which is
right?
When Christ was asked about the end of the world in Matthew 24, he recommended we understand a desolating power first mentioned in Daniel 8. Here is a prophecy that reaches from the time of Daniel to the present and includes a ram that gets stomped and its horns are broken by a goat. Daniel 8:20,21 tells us the horns on the ram are the kings of Media and Persia and they are broken by the first king of Grecia (Alexander the Great).
History confirms Bible accuracy and the victory of Alexander
over Medo-Persia. But Gabriel said the vision is “at the
time of the end,” (verse 17) so what we’re looking at is a double
application of prophecy—once in history, and again for our time when the
Medes and Persians have become Iraq and Iran. If we read closely, several
items fit better now:
U.S. coalition v Iraq and Iran is Bible prophecy
- Daniel was in the palace at Shushan, but "I saw in a vision
and I was by the river Ulai," Daniel 8:2. The modern name is the Karun
River by Kuwait where U.S. troops deployed against Iraq in
2003.
- Alexander’s victory at Arbela was 700 miles away. Daniel
saw our time and our deployment.
- The goat “came from the west on the face of the whole
earth,” Daniel 8:5. The U.S. coalition came from Korea, Australia,
S. America, Canada, Europe—“the whole earth.” Not so with Alexander; he did
come "from the face of the whole earth.
- The goat “touched not the ground.” Daniel 8:5. Desert Storm was the first war fought largely in the air.
Alexander had no choice of planes. The imagery fits "the time of the
end." Alexander's victory was a type for our time
- Persia was the name for Iran today. Daniel 8 suggests war with Iran.
- Islam may wonder why God would allow "the Great Satan{ to conquer mmilitant Islam when we have brought alcohol, tobacco, Hollywood, crime, sex, violence on TV, and appear to favor abortion, homosexuality, all things that the Bible may condemn, but Daniel's prophecy is not about who God favors to win, who who He sees will win, and America will have its time of judgment soon as well. After a military victory, the US’ “horn” gets broken, Daniel 8:8.

Identifying the Woman in Revelation 17
Bible prophecy represents religions as a woman that nurtures certain beliefs as in Jeremiah 6:2--"I have likened the daughter of Zion to a fair and comely woman." A pure woman represents a pure church; a harlot represents false teachings. Consider the Bible's clues to an end-time false system of teaching that can lead many to hell, Revelation 17:
Verse
1
“The
great whore that sits upon many
waters .”
“The waters which you saw where
the whore sits are peoples and multitudes and nations.” Revelation 17:15 implies
a worldwide, universal (catholic) church.
Verse
2
“With whom the kings of the earth have
committed fornication.”
This church is involved in politics and governments, mingling church and state
as seen in so many Catholic countries.
Verse
3
“I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet colored
beast, full of names of blasphemy
having seven heads and 10 horns.” This is the “image”
beast of Revelation 13 mentioned in the first chapter—New World
Order will look like the Old World Order. “Names of blasphemy”
include the pope’s title, “Lord God the Pope,” or in Latin, Vicarius
Filii Dei, which means Vicar of the Son of God. The Roman numerals
of the Latin words add up to 666 if “u” is given the equivalent of 5
as “v” is. (C is 100; L is 50; D is 500; I is 1), see Revelation
13:18.

“The woman was arrayed in purple and
scarlet color and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls.”
A wealthy church with the color of cardinals.

“The
Mother of Harlots and Abominations of the Earth.”
Rome boasts
of being the “Mother Church” and her harlot daughters no longer
protest her false teachings and will go along with her New World Order
with its false worship, Rev 13:15-17.
Verse
6
“Drunken
with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs.”
Conservative historians estimate 80-100 million martyrs gave their
lives in protest to this system of worship.
If the above reasons aren’t sufficient to identify this whore, it’s doubtful that more would help. What are we willing to accept as evidence? Could there be another meaning?

America in Bible Prophecy, Revelation 13:11-15
Early Americans fled the Old World
and generally
believed that the first beast (political cartoon) in
Revelation 13 was the papacy as it had assimilated
all the characteristics of previous kingdoms in Daniel
7 where there was a lion, bear, leopard and dreadful
beast with 10 horns. The first beast in Revelation 13
had a mouth like a lion, feet like a bear; it looked
like a leopard and had the total of seven heads and
ten horns from Daniel 7.
Those beasts represented succeeding kingdoms
of
Babylon, Medo-Persia, Grecia and Rome.
As the Roman Empire fell, 10 tribes roamed Europe, represented by
the 10 horns that grew out of the 4th beast. Then a “little horn”
emerged to uproot three horns. It spoke great
(blasphemous) words, changed times and laws and
persecuted the saints shown in Daniel 7.
Pioneers believed the papacy survived the Dark Ages of oppression as an amalgamation of those other beasts, but it had a “deadly wound” which they believed was the Protestant Reformation. John saw this deadly wound heal and “all the world wondered after the beast…” Revelation 13:3. Every living president of the US bowed before the casket of a dead pope.
America in prophecy is
represented by the second beast in Revelation 13:11-15. It has two horns like a lamb,
but no crowns as on the
previous beast. This suggests a government without
a king and a church without a pope—Protestant
America.
The US beast causes fire
to come
down from the
sky (Hiroshima) and "it spake as a dragon." Rev 13:11. It makes an image (look-alike) of
the previous (papal) Old World Order.
What is the United Nations? It is a New World Order represented by the image beast
that has its
headquarters in the US

We are only a short way from seeing this happen. America is already speaking like a dragon in recent Executive Orders. Soon, the most solemn warning in the Bible will apply...

same shall drink of the wine of
the wrath of God…and he shall be tormented with fire…Revelation 14:9,10.
